Coworking on the Eastern Shore: Fairhope & Daphne (2026)
Last reviewed September 19, 2026
Baldwin County's Eastern Shore is one of the fastest-growing corners of the Southeast, and its two tracked workspaces split the market neatly: a boutique courtyard-and-phone-booth space in downtown Fairhope, and a practical, well-priced coworking operation on US-98 in Daphne. Here's the comparison.
Downtown Fairhope
The Magnolia Avenue space (FHP-01) is the polished pick — fully furnished private offices with utilities included, private phone booths, Zoom rooms, conference rooms, an outdoor courtyard, and free parking in the adjacent public deck. You're a block from downtown Fairhope's shops and restaurants, which makes client meetings easy to end well. Fairhope listings here.
It is also the only Eastern Shore workspace whose amenities name Zoom rooms — if video calls are the reason you need space, read our Fairhope and Daphne video-conferencing guide instead.
Daphne
The US-98 space in Daphne (FHP-02) covers the full menu — open coworking from about $99/month (the lowest published rate we track on the Shore), dedicated desks, private offices with 24-hour access, and meeting rooms with three conference-room hours included monthly. Fiber internet, a full kitchen and a coffee bar round it out. Daphne listings here.
Fairhope or Daphne: the honest comparison
Daphne is the value play and it is not a compromise. Fairhope is the address you buy when the address is part of the work. Ten minutes apart, and genuinely different purchases.

The $99 open-desk tier in Daphne is the lowest published membership on the Eastern Shore and the second lowest of the ten markets we track — only Dothan at $100 is close, and Mobile across the bay starts at $149.
Working the Eastern Shore and Mobile at once
Plenty of Baldwin County businesses have clients across the bay, and both Shore workspaces sit minutes off I-10 and US-98. We track seven workspaces in Mobile as well, including day passes from $20 downtown — so if your week is genuinely split, the sensible setup is often a cheap Shore membership plus day passes on the Mobile side rather than a second full membership. Tell the concierge how the week actually splits and we will price both ways.
How to Choose a Coworking Space on the Eastern Shore
- Budget-first / remote worker: Daphne (FHP-02) — $99/mo open desks are hard to argue with.
- Client-facing professional: downtown Fairhope (FHP-01) — the address, courtyard and Zoom rooms earn their premium.
- Commuting to Mobile some days? Both sit minutes off I-10/US-98; we also track seven Mobile workspaces across the bay.

Frequently asked questions
Open-desk membership in Daphne starts around $99 a month, the lowest published rate on the Eastern Shore. Downtown Fairhope offices are quoted per suite rather than published — submit the form and we will come back with current rates.
The Daphne space (FHP-02) lists 24-hour access. Downtown Fairhope does not list it, so if you work irregular hours that narrows the choice. Confirm the specific tier on your tour, and we will check it with the operator first if you ask.
Both have conference space — Daphne lists meeting rooms among its space types and includes conference-room hours with membership, and downtown Fairhope has bookable conference and Zoom rooms. Neither publishes a non-member hourly rate, so send us your date and headcount and we will get it. Our video conferencing guide covers which rooms are which.
Downtown Fairhope. It is a block from the shops and restaurants on Magnolia Avenue with parking in the adjacent public deck, which makes a client visit easy to end well. Daphne is the better base if most of your work is heads-down and the address matters less than the rate.
Daphne, marginally — it sits north of Fairhope nearer the I-10 interchange, so it is the quicker run across the bay. Both are close enough that people commute either way. If your week is split, ask us to price a Shore membership alongside Mobile day passes.
